Welcome
The Empanada Lady isn’t just about food—it’s about creating a space where culture, connection, and community thrive. Founded by an Afro-Latina woman and rooted in Puerto Rican tradition, our restaurant serves more than just empanadas—we serve stories, legacy, and love.
Our pastelillos (empanadas) are made by hand, using a family recipe passed down through generations. From classic chicken to vegan and sweet apple, every bite is a taste of tradition. We pair these with soulful sides, seasonal sips like Coquito, and our signature Nada Cocktails to bring a full-flavored, unforgettable experience.
But in Baltimore, food is more than a meal—it’s a bridge. A bridge between cultures, between stories, and between people. At The Empanada Lady, we’ve built a space that’s diverse, educational, and family-centered. Whether you're dining in, ordering delivery, or catering a special event, our mission is the same: to bring people together and make everyone feel seen, valued, and welcomed.
Through our work, we’re contributing to something bigger—strengthening the local economy, promoting safety, and creating a space where people can connect, share, and grow. Because when we gather at the table, real change begins.
Hungry yet? Come through. We’re feeding the block with love—and building a movement while we’re at it.
Flavors That Feed the Soul. A Space That Feels Like Home.
